Picked Up The Brush Again

It's been 10 months since I've worked on this painting.  I had to move furniture around this week and found if I moved one piece I'd feel like I had room to paint.  Here is my work for today.

Today's Progress

Finished the carvings.  Will start on the stone surface next.

Started the painting today.

Started the oils on the painting today.  I noticed there was some cat hair on the brush.  I wonder if I'm going to have to say this painting is mixed media? ;-)

This is the color palette for my new painting.  It's kerb stone 67 at Newgrange.  Another of my favorite carved stones.

Finished!

And it only took me two years! Geesh!  Hopefully I'll work consistently on the next one.

Not a great picture, will take a better one when the sun is shining!

Seven months later......

Looks like the last time I picked up a brush was April 29, 2010.  That's sad.  Hopefully this is the beginning of a long stretch of painting....

Took a break while doing a play.  Couldn't concentrate enough to pick up a brush, but made some headway today.
